Lolev Beer
Lolev Beer chase hops. Not varieties, specific lots. We work with specialty growers around the world to find the ones worth building an entire beer around. Ultra Hopped Ale is what happens when that obsession comes together: vivid hop character, real balance, beer that asks you to slow down and pay attention. The chase is the whole point. We just happen to brew it in Pittsburgh.
The name Lolev comes from “Lower Level,” our project name derived from our mother’s term for the basement where we started homebrewing. She insisted on “lower level” because we kept the space clean, organized, and dialed. It wasn’t a basement. It was a brewery before we knew it. That same attention to detail drives everything we do today. We source the finest ingredients from growers around the world, obsess over every step of the process, and refine constantly. Every beer has a purpose.
Our Locations
Our Lawrenceville flagship is both production brewery and taproom, a former early ford dealership built in 1912. The beer you’re drinking was made on the other side of the wall. Our second taproom in Zelienople sits inside a former Barq’s bottling facility that operated through the 1970s. Both locations pour our freshest draft and canned offerings. We regularly host food, live events, and community gatherings. Good beer is better with good company.
